Reclouder is a smart audio recording device. With Reclouder you can capture that live performance on stage. You can record from a single sound source to complex multiple sound source setups. This makes Reclouder a versatile solution for recording bands, DJs and other stage performances. Or you can use Reclouder to record audio high quality for your video project. Reclouder uses a high quality preamp and AD-convertor to ensure the best audio quality is recorded. Simply integrate Reclouder in your traditional setup. Link multiple smart recording devices with Bluetooth and create a wireless recording (multitrack) network. Reclouder records on its integrated SD card first. It will automatically sync and store your recordings in the connected cloud service, when you are connected to Wi-Fi. From this cloud service it is easy to share the recorded sessions for further production by your preferred producer.
Your cloud account will only be accessible by yourself. You can protect it with 2 step verification. This means you need a password and a code - sent to your mobile phone - to access the cloud service. For sharing with others you can control and decide who has access to specific tracks and sessions.
All the tracks you upload are private. and only accessible by you or the people you give permission to access your cloud sessions.
There is no need for uploading files to your computer and sending large files via other services. Your recording is automatically uploaded in the cloud and if you decide to give a producer or engineer access, they can just download from that same cloud. It is easier, faster and more effective. Save locally (SD card) first. Upload automatically with your preferred Wi-Fi network.
Store your work in our secure and private cloud. It never gets lost, unless you delete it. This means that your data in our cloud is always available to you and can always be retrieved from our servers.
Sending audio recordings over the internet into our cloud service has multiple benefits. For instance you instantly create backups of your recordings. Also you streamline your production process, as you no longer need to manually transfer data from SD card to a computer and you no longer need to send large files over the internet using services as Wetransfer. This process is done automatically when connected to Wi-Fi. Simply grab your recordings from the cloud and give permission to your inner circle to move your productions forward. What you can do is capture, sync, archive and share all your recordings in and from the cloud. You can link multiple Reclouders in your session and all of the recorded data will be easily accessible by anybody you grant access. It is easy, fast & effective. This is useful when you work with multi-camera setups as well. With the Reclouder approach you record on the internal SD card and start uploading to the cloud when connect to Wi-Fi. You can have all the material available for processing before you wrapped up your gear, or ask your post-production specialist to start processing while you are still capturing material.
When you connect Reclouder or your network of Reclouders to the internet it automatically starts uploading the data to the cloud service. There is no compression of files. Reclouder will not jeopardise the quality of your audio recordings. Reclouder records in BWF-compliant WAV format. Up to 24 bit and 96 kHz. Reclouder is build to record and only record. With Reclouder you ensure that your best microphones are recorded with a high quality pro grade preamp of Reclouder.
It is possible to record audio in the middle of nowhere with Reclouder. In the beginning Reclouder will use its integrated SD card and you can record your audio on this card in the traditional way. As soon as it connects with Wi-Fi, Reclouder will start uploading all recorded data to our cloud service. As long as you don't have internet access, you can use it as a traditional recorder and transfer the data from SD to your laptop. If you want to edit in the middle of nowhere that will work. You can use Reclouder as an audio recorder with top quality preamp, enriching the recording quality of your (camera) mic and recorded audio. Also Reclouder will operate on 3x AAA battery power (or type-C USB) which makes it possible to record anytime, anywhere as a standalone smart recording device.
If you use a video microphone and a camera to shoot audio and video you can use Reclouder as a high quality pro grade preamp. This way you can fully benefit from the quality of your current microphone. Without Reclouder you would have used the audio circuit in your camera. Cameras are not build for audio. Reclouder will surely improve the quality of your audio recordings. Next Reclouder will automatically upload your material the the cloud when connected to wi-fi. This way you no longer need to manually process the data transfers. It will ease up your workflow. From the cloud you can grab your audio anytime for post-production. Or you can give access to your best producer to do it for you. Also you can link multiple Reclouders and create a multitrack recording network. Your recordings will be synced and stored in the cloud. From there you also can share your material with VIPs for validation and processing. This will be interesting when shooting multi-camera projects, such as live music, weddings and events, especially when you are not focussing on one audio source.
When you record with your camera and want to have high quality audio for speech, you can add the Reclouder and use its high quality preamp to upgrade the audio recording. Simply integrate Reclouder in your existing set up and add it between your video microphone and camera. Streamline your production process.
For recording DJ sets you can work with one Reclouder and you do not necessary need to record in multitrack. If you are a digital (laptop) DJ, most of the time recording your set is integrated in the software. If you are an old school DJ with a DJ mixer you can connect Reclouder to the record out of your mixer. Reclouder will capture your performance in high quality and automatically upload it into the connected cloud service. When you are ready (or your production engineer) you can upgrade the raw material during the post production process and share your DJ set online with your fans before they get home, in high quality, fully mastered. Furthermore, you can take your DJ sets to the next level. You now can add vocalists, instrumentalists and live hardware and record this in multitrack. Think about it? Why not go pro with your show? And share that in high quality online?
Laptops are useful in many ways. Like me typing this message. The problem with laptops for audio recording is that they are not created to work with audio. Therefore one pays for many features you do not use. Also the audio interface and processing is most of the times horrible on a laptop. That is why there are so many companies that develop audio interfaces. If you want to work with a laptop you sure need an additional audio interface to make it work in high quality. Next, most people will encounter problems with hard disks and memory when using laptops for a longer time and for multiple purposes, like connecting it with the internet. With all the protection it will need in the online world. Reclouder can replace a laptop when looking at recording multitrack audio. It also provides a storage and archive in the cloud. Because one can link multiple Reclouders, the wireless multitrack network is potentially endless, as well as the storage capacity in the cloud. We think differently. Taking your computer and audio interface on the road to record live sessions is from our point of view not the best solution. With Reclouder you simply add the recording box, build to last heavy usage, as a thru box in your wiring set up. There is no need for an additional multitrack recording setup. It connects directly to the cloud and therewith you no longer need to manually transfer of the recorded multitrack sessions. The cloud service will become your live session database or archive. You can literally record any live session, every gig and create an archive of musical experiences. With Reclouder you create automatic backups. One on the integrated SD card and one on the connected cloud service. It is fast, easy and effective. You can record live music and other audio registrations with a few simple clicks. Everybody can do this.
There are many mobile apps and devices that can record audio. First of all Reclouder is build to record, and only record. Therefore you will never pay for features you do not use. The problem with recording with your mobile device is connected to the low quality preamp of either your phone or portable converter solution, and usage of inferior mp3 format as a standard. This will seriously jeopardise your recording quality. Furthermore, your phone has limited storage and therefore will mostly record on these formats to save space. Reclouder records in professional BWF-compliant WAV format. The standard audio format in the broadcasting industry.
With portable multitrack recorders you pay for complex menus with lots of opportunities. Sometimes you are forced to use the enclosed microphones and if not, you did pay for them. Also portable multitrack recorders are small and need many additional wiring to set up the network. Reclouder simply integrates in your existing wiring setup as a Thru box. Reclouder is super easy and intuitive to work with. Therefore everybody can work with it. Control your Reclouder and the entire recording network with one simple app.
There are many cases and situations where musicians would rather spend time sound checking and setting up for a live performance than wiring a multitrack recording setup. Reclouder saves time, money and frustration. Of course you can work with live mixers and sound engineers. They are both great. But you rely completely on them to make recordings. Why not just use Reclouder and its multitrack opportunities to record every gig, small or big, and every practice session to playback and improve. It is as easy as a breeze. If you are a sound engineer, consider this! Try to be open-minded and think differently. What if with Reclouder we offer you a way to easily record multitrack. This means that you no longer have to be on location to make the recording. You can let the band install Reclouder easily and you can process it later for post-production. This means you can do more work, serve more clients, and generate more revenue. Think further. With Reclouder you can now capture the audio of multiple stages on a festival day. You can integrate audio and video to improve your final product. This way of thinking is what we are looking for. How can you use Reclouder technology to create new business opportunities. Feel free to think with us!
The formula is as simple and direct as our product. One Reclouder recording box per sound source, per instrument, per microphone or per person. This corresponds with one track (stereo or mono) in the cloud session. If you want to record 8 tracks, you will need 8 Reclouders.
You can use any DAW alongside Reclouder. Reclouder is the recording device. Integrate multiple devices to create the decentralized recording network. It will automatically capture your recordings in a cloud session. One cloud session has multiple tracks. Every track corresponds with one Reclouder device. The recording is made in BWF-compliant WAV format. Which is also known as a wave-file. These files (Up to 24-bit / 96 kHz) are compatible with literally every DAW or other audio software. Simply connect to our cloud service and grab the synced files for further production in your preferred DAW.
Reclouder is not an online collaboration tool. There are already many solutions for this available. What Reclouder offers is to create a multitrack recording network with cloud-based storage & sharing. To create this multitrack with multiple Reclouders, the devices need to connect which each other creating a peer-2-peer Bluetooth wireless network. If you are interested in online collaboration feel free to check services like Bandlab and eJamming.
Reclouder is not a streaming service like Spotify, Deezer or Apple Music. Our cloud service is not a public service like YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. Reclouder is dedicated to record your raw audio material. You decide who has access to this files for post-production. You can build an archive of your recordings. You can download them for further production and make them ready to share on any public platform as mentioned before. Therewith there is no streaming, video flux or latency involved. Neither are there any copyright issues as your cloud is private.
Our cloud service is not a streaming service like Mixcloud, Soundcloud, Spotify or any other. Reclouder offers a storage service where creatives can archive and store recordings. From this cloud the owner of the recording can share it for post production. Therewith there is no copyright ownership involved.
Reclouder is stable and reliable. The casing of the Reclouder device is created of hardened plastic and as strong as possible without disrupting its wireless capabilities.
For guitarists on the stage, they will connect Reclouder between the mic in front of the amp and the mixer, or they may connect Reclouder's input to guitar amp's output. The Reclouder concept is to capture the audio signal in the middle, between original sound source and the mixer. Therefore it will, usually, not connect with a guitar directly.
Another opportunity is to connect Reclouder between as a thru-box between your guitar effect and the mixer.
You cannot playback the complete multitrack recording at once on the Reclouder device itself. You can monitor every channel (or Reclouder) separately via headphones and adjust the record levels. The playback feature will be available from our mobile app. After the recording, using your smartphone, you can check the audio files and also play them.
Yes you can. You can use Reclouder to record your live performance. You can link and sync multiple Reclouders to record multiple musicians and instruments. You can easily control this process with our mobile app. When you record, Reclouder will create a cloud session. Every Reclouder will have its own track in this session. This way you record multiple tracks into the connected cloud service. Next you can decide who has access on different levels. Like the musicians involved and a producer. They can for instance ‘have the rights’ to grab the raw audio tracks, synced, from the cloud as BWF files (wave file). This format is compatible with any DAW or music production software program. Now you can mix and master the raw recordings as you desire in your preferred software program before releasing it to your community using your preferred social channels and streaming services.
2 channels, one connector, XLR/TRS combo Mic/line in with 48v phantom power, supporting mono and stereo. You can connect one single microphone per reclouder and use the 48v phantom power and pro grade preamp. You can connect a stereo sound source like a keyboard or a DJ mixer using a Y-cable for stereo.
You can connect your record out directly to Reclouder using a Y-cable to 6.35 TRS Jack line input from your record output. As DJ mixers will have a second "record output" you do not have to use Reclouder as a Thru-box for your master output. Just connect your record output to Reclouder 6.35 TRS Jack line input line input and start recording.
Reclouder records on its integrated SD card first. When you connect Reclouder or your wireless network of Reclouders with your preferred Wi-Fi network it automatically starts uploading the data to our cloud service. Here is it where your multitrack recording is synced and ready for sharing with producers, band members and VIPs - by giving them access to the different levels of the recorded material. This does not mean it is ‘better’ compared to working with an external hard drive.
We do think it is different and can be operated by a large group of musicians, artists and technicians. This means that there is time that can be saved and more work that can be done. Which preferably can be invoiced to more clients.
Cloud services are also very safe for data and backups. Consider your Facebook timeline or your Gmail account. A post or email is never lost, unless you have deleted it. That is the core of a cloud service. It keeps your data locked and secure. The system is build to always have the possibility to retrieve data. It is therefore more safe than a hard disk, which, especially when used on stage and on the road, is a vulnerable piece of equipment.
Of course, if you are working with a live mixing console and setup a multitrack recording network plus a hard disk/SD recorder, this is a proven way to record multitrack. And if you own it all, it is also an expensive one to purchase and maintain. You need expertise and experience. If you have this and you are pleased with the way it works, that is perfectly fine. Keep up the excellent work! Please note that not everybody is able to do this.
Not everybody has time and is willing to focus on recording, while their energy is better to be focussed on sound checking and the ambience. That is why - we think - Reclouder and our new approach to recording high quality multitrack - can lead the way to more recorded live music - by a larger group of music makers and creators.
We believe that this music has value and this way more creators can benefit from the rising market of recorded music. Our cloud service creates a session when the recording process is started. Every Reclouder in the network represents a track. Everything is stored, synced automatically and ready to be shared instantly. This is useful if you work with a post-production specialist. Simply invite him or her and they can take care of the mixing and mastering process anytime, anywhere. Also the performing artists can have access on session level and track level. This is useful when looking at copyrights and offering the recordings to the public when the production process is finished.
If it is easier for your personal case depends on your current workflow. With Reclouder you integrate a hybrid recording thru-box in your existing live setup. You can record one single audio source, microphone or instrument per Reclouder. You can scale up to a potentially endless amount of smart recording devices with a wireless audio recording network - linked using Bluetooth - easily controlled with our mobile app.
One tap on your mobile device or any of the Reclouders in your network will start or stop the recording. Reclouder is build to record and only record. With our pro grade preamp, compatible with your best microphones, the highest recording quality is ensured. Reclouder saves your recording on its integrated SD card first. When connected to your preferred Wi-Fi network, it will automatically start uploading your BWF-complaint WAV audio file (up to 24-bit/96 kHz) in the cloud service. It stores & syncs everything automatically.
In our cloud service a cloud session is created. Every session consists out of multiple tracks. Every track represents one Reclouder. You can grab the raw material for post-production in any DAW. Or give permission to band members or producers to grab it. You no longer need to bring laptops and audio interfaces on the road or on stage. You no longer need to create an additional multitrack recording setup. You and your band can focus on sound checking for your performance.
If you use a multitrack recorder. You no longer pay for features, complex menus and microphone capsules you will not use. Also you no longer need to ask the live sound engineer or FOH to support you on setting up the recording network. We think this will ease up the process, streamline your workflow and upgrade your recordings. Last but not least. Simplified multitrack recording with cloud storage, provides the opportunity to always record due to the endless capacity of the cloud service. There is no more reason not to record. You can now start documenting every live show. Select the best for post-production and share them with your fanbase.
If you want to record 1x mono with phantom power you can use one Reclouder and record. If you want to record 2x mono without phantom power you can use a y-cable and one reclouder for stereo recording. If you want to record 2x mono with both channels phantom powered you can link two Reclouders and record.
If you want to connect 2x mono or 2x stereo video microphones, you can connect your mics with the two 3.5mm TRS jack connectors, use 2.5v plug-in power, and record both inputs at once using one Reclouder.
Reclouder is a hybrid recording device. It is a hardware recording device with a connected cloud service and mobile app. Reclouder is build to record your audio on its hardware SD card first. You can link multiple Reclouders using Bluetooth to create a wireless recording network. You can control this network with our mobile app. As soon as you are connected to Wi-Fi the recorded audio will automatically be stored and synced in our cloyd service. From there you or your post-production specialist can grab it for production in the studio.
Reclouder uses different technologies to make your recording process more effective. With hybrid we mean that we combine traditional and new technology to do this. Reclouder records locally first on its integrated SD card. When connected with Wi-Fi, it will start uploading to the connected cloud service. This way you record and store locally as well as in the cloud. Also you can connect mics and instruments with the wide range of connectors ranging from phantom powered XLR to stereo 6.35 jacks. This makes Reclouder the versatile solution for musicians, DJs, videographers and live sound technicians. Furthermore Reclouder uses the hardware recording device as well as our mobile app to control the recording process. Every feature of Reclouder has multiple purposes and that is why it is the solution for a wide range of user cases. We call that hybrid!
World Clock for multi devices - in the past - was used in complicated digital system. Between two standalone digital recorders - without master word clock - the resulting files may have a slightly different length measured in milliseconds. This can be solved easily in any DAW with the stretch feature. In today's DAW, the algorithms are of such high standards that processing this non-linear editing will not affect the audio quality and will not be audible to the human hearing.
Overall, it should be clear from this SOS test that employing an external master clock cannot and will not improve the sound quality of a digital audio system. It might change it, and subjectively that change might be preferred, but it won't change things for the better in any technical sense. A‑D conversion performance will not improve: the best that can be hoped for is that the A‑D conversion won't become significantly degraded. In most cases, the technical performance will actually become worse, albeit only marginally so.
DJM-REC is an interesting solution for recording your digital DJ sets with an app and your mobile device. It uses an USB connection to store your audio data on your iphone. This is great for digital DJ mixers. Most digital DJ software also offer this in the software.
Reclouder is focussed on another kind of DJ. It converts an analog signal to a digital one and stores it in the connected cloud service for post-production like mastering.
You can connect your record out directly to Reclouder using a Y-cable to 6.35 TRS Jack line input from your record output. As DJ mixers will have a second "record output" you do not have to use Reclouder as a Thru-box for your master output. Just connect your record output to Reclouder 6.35 TRS Jack line input.
You now can go pro with your DJ sets.
What you can do is connect multiple sound sources and connect instrumentalists, vocalists and external gear. You can create a wireless audio recording network using Bluetooth to connect the Reclouders and control the recording process with our mobile device. Everything will be recorded on the integrated SD cards first. This way you can record everywhere. When connected to your preferred Wi-Fi network Reclouder will automatically start uploading into our cloud service. In the cloud the Reclouder network has created a cloud session. Every Reclouder correspondents with one individual track. All the tracks are synced and recorded in up to 24/96 BWF (wave files) and ready for further processing in any DAW.
Also you can give permission to performing artists to have access to the cloud session It is highly recommended to process your live recordings in post-production. You can give access to your preferred producer to grab the raw material from the cloud, do the mixing and mastering magic, and then upload to share with your following, fans, and community.
We are currently working with 80x80x45mm models. Subject to change as it is not fully finished. It will be pretty close to those dimension if not exactly that dimensions.
You can record one audio source per Reclouder. If you want to record one synth per track, you can use Reclouder as a 2 channel stereo recorder with a Y-cable. This will result in one Reclouder per instrument to record every single synth as a separate track in the cloud session.
Evermix uses your mobile device to store your recordings and the Mixbus as a simple converter. If you record a single source, like a DJ set, Reclouder will record your set on its integrated SD card and automatically upload it to the connected cloud service when connected to Wi-Fi.
From the cloud you can grab it for post-production, like mastering. Next you can publish it on your preferred streaming platform.
Evermix is also a platform where you can share your DJ sets with the public. This is not what Reclouder nor the cloud service offers. We offer recording of raw material ready for processing in post-production. We are not a streaming service nor is Reclouder limited to the capabilities of your mobile device.
Reclouder can work on battery power and is build to record, and only record. This way we ensure the best recording quality inside the box and ease up to production process by making it available for handling in any DAW with BWF compliant WAV format audio files up to 24/96.
Also, if you desire to work with a vocalist or instrumentalists to give your DJ set that creative live experience, you can record those sound sources separately with an endless network of Reclouders. You can connect the different Reclouders in this network using Bluetooth. When uploaded in the cloud service all sources will be synced as separate tracks or stems. This way you can easily expand your live presence to a potentially endless amount of musicians and performing artists.
This really depends on which level you want to get. For example if you only want to record better sound with your mobile phone, you can just add a mic like this one: Røde Video Mic Me
When shooting videos with your smartphone you can indeed use many apps. The video quality of today's smartphones has been heavily increased in the last years. This is great. At the other side, sound quality, is not the best feature of a smartphone. When you are shooting music videos you sure want to ensure the audio quality is on top level. You can go in multiple directions.
One is to integrate Reclouder as your prograde preamp and connect it between your microphone and smartphone. This way you still record video with your smartphone but will use Reclouder and an external mic to increase the quality of your audio recording. Reclouder will ensure your mic will fully benefit from our technology. Your audio will be recorded on the integrated SD card first. When you are connected to wi-fi it will be automatically uploaded to the cloud. Here you can build an archive of your takes. In post-production you can grab these files and process them or ask your best producer to do it by simply inviting him/her to this cloud session.
If you want to record a band Reclouder is even more suitable. Every sound source, instrument or musician will be recorded on a dedicated Reclouder. You can link multiple Reclouders using Bluetooth and control that smart recording network with your smartphone. Now you can record in multitrack and these recordings will be automatically stored and synced in the cloud. From this cloud you can share for post-production.
To sync your audio and video you can use a "bi" as starting sound mark in both camera and audio recorder at the starting point. When you go back to the studio, you can use any editing software to sync both video and audio automatically.
The main difference is that Reclouder will upload your recordings automatically in the cloud when connected to your preferred wifi network. With the F1 you will have to do this manually using the micro-USB port.
Another difference is that you can link an endless amount of Reclouders using Bluetooth to record multiple sound sources into one cloud session.
The F1 is mainly focussed on lavelier mics with mini-jack 2.5v connector, while Reclouder also is available for XLR input, 48v mics and even instruments with the XLR/Line combo input.
We use the "bi sound" solution to wirelessly communicate the starting point within the Reclouder network.
Reclouder will generate a sound marker (or "bi" sound) internally which will be recorded in the beginning of the audio files. This marker will also be send to the audio input of your camera.
After you record both audio and video, you can import all files (with sound marker) in you editing software like as final cut pro, your software will use our sound marker (or "bi" sound) to sync all files.
We work with a team of hardware developers with years of experience in hardware design and development. That is why we have developed our own customised preamp especially for Reclouder.
